Zeno24 is built around location, which is some of the most sensitive data a person has. This page explains exactly what we collect, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how you can stop or delete it.
We collect what the app needs to work and nothing we cannot justify to you.
Your location is visible only to circles you have chosen to share with. We do not sell your data. We do not use your location for advertising.
↑ Back to contentsAccount: your name, and the email address or phone number you sign in with. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an identifier from them and, where you allow it, an email address.
Location: your position, along with movement state, speed, accuracy and battery level, while you are sharing with at least one circle. This is collected in the background so a circle can see you when the app is closed.
Places you create, and the arrival and departure alerts configured on them.
Photos: the profile picture you choose, and any photo you add to a pet profile. Your profile picture is seen only by the circles you are in. A pet’s photo is different: it is also shown on the public page reached by scanning that pet’s tag, so treat it as public.
Support conversations: what you type to the support assistant, and what it answers.
Driving: with your permission, motion and sensor readings used to detect trips and events such as hard braking or phone handling.
Health: with your permission, four figures read from your phone’s health store — Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android — steps, walking and running distance, active energy burned, and exercise minutes. We read the daily totals, never the individual readings behind them, and only for the last 30 days. On Android, when Health Connect holds nothing for today, the phone’s own step counter fills in that day’s steps instead. See “Health data” below, which covers this in full.
Device: model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone and a device identifier, used to deliver notifications and to diagnose faults.

A circle sees your location from the day you joined it — never from before. Joining a circle does not reveal where you were before you joined.
If you switch sharing off for a circle, its members stop seeing you. Sharing is answered separately for every circle: hiding from one does not hide you from another.

What we read: with your permission, Zeno24 reads four daily totals from your phone’s health store — Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android: steps, walking and running distance, active energy burned, and exercise minutes. We read totals for the day, not the individual readings behind them. Reading is all we ask for — no permission to write, and no data type beyond those four — and nothing is ever written back into Apple Health or Health Connect.
On Android, Health Connect is a store rather than a sensor: it holds what other apps have written into it, and it is empty until one does. When it holds nothing for today, Zeno24 reads the step counter built into the phone instead, which counts steps and nothing else.
Where it goes: those daily totals are sent to our own servers, because the feature compares days and shows a circle leaderboard, and neither works on one device alone. They are never put in iCloud, in Google Drive, or in any cloud but ours.
Who can see it: nobody else, until you say so. Health sharing is answered separately from location sharing, separately for each circle, and it is off unless you turn it on. Nothing you turn on is retroactive in effect — turn it off and the circle stops seeing your figures. Members who have not turned it on appear on the leaderboard without figures, so no one is ranked for a choice they did not make.
How long: 32 days, then deleted automatically, whether or not you are still sharing.
What we will never do: we do not use health data for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not give it to data brokers, insurers, employers or lenders. It is used for the Health feature and for nothing else.
How to stop: switch Health sharing off in the app to leave the leaderboard, or withdraw the phone’s own health access, which stops the reading entirely — on iPhone in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health, on Android in Health Connect › App permissions › Zeno24. Deleting your account deletes what we hold.
↑ Back to contentsLocation history: 30 days, then deleted automatically. How far back you can LOOK depends on the circle’s plan (2 days free, 7 on Silver, 30 on Gold), but nothing is stored beyond 30 days for anyone.
Health: 32 days.
Support conversations: 90 days.
Photos: until you remove them, or until your account is deleted.
Feedback: the rating and text are kept so we can act on them and see patterns over time. Attached screenshots are deleted after 90 days.
Account data: until you delete your account, then removed after the 30-day grace period.

Notifications: choose which kinds reach you, and mute individual people per category.
Health: off until you turn it on, and answered separately for each circle. Switch it off to leave the leaderboard, or withdraw the phone’s own health access to stop the reading entirely — Settings › Privacy & Security › Health on iPhone, Health Connect › App permissions on Android.
Driving: optional, and it stops when you withdraw the permission.
Your data: You can delete your account from within the app, or at zeno24.com/delete-account without installing anything.
The web route sends a code to an email address or phone number held on your account, because that is how it knows the request is yours. Signing in with Apple or Google does not put one there — and Apple’s Hide My Email address is one you have never seen. Add an email or phone number in the app under Profile first, or write to info@zeno24.com and we will verify you another way.
Either way the account is removed after 30 days.
You can also ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or object to how we use it. Write to info@zeno24.com and we will answer within 30 days, free of charge. We will ask you to write from the email address or phone number your account signs in with, so that we never hand your data to somebody else. The copy covers what is about you: it will not include other people’s locations or anything they have written, because those belong to them and not to you.
↑ Back to contentsZeno24 is for people aged 13 and over, and higher where local law requires it (16 in the United Kingdom and California, 14 in Korea, 13–16 across the EU). We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone below that age.
We do not offer a parental-consent route, and that is a deliberate choice rather than an omission. Collecting a child’s precise location is permitted only with verifiable parental consent, and that model requires a parent-controlled account — which would mean a person whose location is switched on by somebody else. Zeno24 has no such role: every member controls their own sharing and can withdraw it at any moment.
We never use data from a minor’s account for marketing or advertising, and we do not sell it.
If we learn an account belongs to someone under the minimum age, we delete the account and the data collected through it. To report one, write to info@zeno24.com.
↑ Back to contentsData is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it, and administrative actions are logged.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
